As a nonprofit organization, TheGifted Arts INC ("TheGifted," "we," "us," or "our") places a high priority on protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains what types of information we collect through our website, www.thegiftedarts.org, our programs, and our text messaging program, and how that information is used and shared.

What Personally Identifiable Information is Collected

Website visitors and program participants voluntarily provide us with contact information (such as name, e-mail address, and mobile phone number) when they sign up for our newsletter, enroll in a program, make a donation, or contact us. We use this information internally to provide personalized service, communicate with you, and monitor website traffic.

Credit Card Account Information

TheGifted uses secure transaction methods (SSL) when collecting credit card information over the Internet. TheGifted does not disclose to third parties credit card account information provided by its supporters, participants, or other website visitors.

Internet Protocol (IP) addresses

TheGifted uses your Internet Protocol (IP) address for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.

How Your Information May Be Used

We use your personal information to provide you with personalized service; to send e-mail or text message alerts to you; to answer your requests; to process your enrollment application; and to keep you informed about our programs and events. You may choose to opt out at any time, which will cease communications from us. You may do so by emailing us. We may also use your information to track your visits to our website. This lets us see which of our features are the most popular so we can better serve our users' needs.

How your information may be shared

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share personal information only with service providers who help us operate our website, process payments, send communications, or manage program enrollment, and only for those purposes. We may also disclose information when required by law.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won't be shared with any third parties.

Text messaging (SMS) program

If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in, TheGifted may send you text messages about program enrollment, schedules, reminders, event updates, and other information related to our programs.

  • Consent. You will only receive text messages from us if you have opted in by providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive messages (for example, by checking a box on a form, replying to an opt-in message, or texting a keyword to our number). Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of enrollment, donation, or purchase.

  • Message frequency. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

  • Opting out. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive further texts from us unless you opt in again.

  • Help. For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at contactus@thegiftedarts.org.

  • Sharing. Your mobile phone number and text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with or sold to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

  • Carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Electronic newsletter

We send an electronic newsletter on a regular basis to our subscribers. The newsletters are sent to your preferred address. You may choose to opt out at any time, which will cease communications from us. You may do so by emailing us or by clicking the unsubscribe link provided in every newsletter.

Children's privacy

TheGifted serves young people, and we collect information about minors only from a parent or legal guardian, or with a parent or legal guardian's consent, for the purpose of program enrollment and participation. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through our website without parental consent. Parents and guardians may review, update, or request deletion of their child's information by contacting us.

Modifications

We may amend this privacy policy from time to time; please review it periodically. We maintain the option to modify this policy at any time by electronic notice posted on our website. Your continued use of our website after the date that such notices are posted will be deemed to be your agreement to the changed terms.
