Help Young People Remember Their Worth

At TheGifted Arts, we believe that self-worth is not something you earn. It is something you remember.

Every season, we meet brilliant young people who struggle to answer one simple question.
“What is something special about you?”

They are growing up in a world full of noise. Social media, peer pressure, academic stress, and constant headlines can drown out their inner voice. For Black and Brown youth, those pressures sit on top of systemic inequities, economic strain, and a mental health crisis that tells them in a thousand small ways that they are not enough.

Our work is to interrupt that lie.

Through culturally responsive arts education, performances, and mentorship, we help young people understand their history, embrace their gifts, and transcend the barriers in front of them. We call this The Journey. By the end of that journey, the vast majority of our artists report feeling valuable and important, more confident, and more willing to step outside their comfort zone to take on new challenges.

We also know that access matters. Families in our community are facing real financial and mental health challenges. Many attend Title I schools. Nearly half earn sixty thousand dollars a year or less and about sixty percent report economic constraints. To meet that reality, we intentionally price our programs at about 50% of the true cost and still provide scholarships to nearly 20% of our students, so that no young person is turned away due to finances. At the same time, we offer paid positions to high school artists who return as mentors and teaching assistants, giving them leadership training, job experience, and income while they continue their artistic journey.

Because of supporters like you, we have launched four new programs and are preparing to launch a mobile app that will bring tools for confidence, creativity, and mental health support directly into the hands of youth and families. Your generosity makes that kind of innovation possible.

If this message resonates with you, we invite you to do two things.
First, if you are able, make a gift. We are asking for a contribution of one hundred dollars to help us keep programs accessible, expand scholarships, and grow paid opportunities for young artists. Second, share this campaign with someone who believes, as you do, that every child deserves a space where they are seen, celebrated, and reminded of their power.
